Whether you're facing an unplanned pregnancy, crisis surrounding pregnancy, confirmed or potential prenatal diagnosis or reproductive loss, we are here to listen impartially and meet you where you're at, making sure you are heard, understood, fully informed and in control of your own decision-making—committed to working with you continuously to achieve the best possible outcome for you.
Delivered by trained volunteers, PHA-affiliated centres offer the following holistic services;
Help & Support - Individual appointments, group activities and essential material goods. In action, this may mean;
- An initial appointment to address your challenging circumstances and identify holistic support pathways & options
- Ongoing regular calls to check-in and provide emotional support and mentoring by the same highly trained volunteer throughout the perinatal period
- Providing a pram, cot, car baby capsule, baby & maternity clothes, nappies, mums & bubs welcome bundles, pamper packs & baby showers.
- Connection with birth or home visit support
- Connection with maternal and child health services, mothers' groups, playgroups and other support networks
- Connection with domestic violence support services
- Links to supportive accommodation
- Letters of support
- Help with filling out forms
- Connection with financial & advocacy support for migrants without medicare
- Connection to reproductive loss & grief support
Workshops*
- Hands-on and practical early parenting workshops, groups and classes, facilitated by trained volunteers & experienced professionals
Future Planning - Individual appointments to voice, visualise and achieve future dreams for work, study and family life.
- Providing or linking individuals with free or affordable personal or financial counselling or coaching
- Providing information on study continuation and career pathways
