If you are experiencing emotional distress in relation to a past abortion, help is available. There is hope. Call the national support line 1300 139 313 (8am-10pm). We are here to listen, we are here for you.
Deciding to have an abortion is a deeply personal choice and, in many cases, a very difficult decision to make. Although many women feel some relief after an abortion, many others have negative emotions afterwards. These reactions may be immediate or may occur years later.
When you contact a pregnancy help centre, you will meet people who want to help. It is a safe, nonjudgmental, confidential place to express and work through the emotions associated with abortion loss.
Most PHA-affiliated centres offer in-person and online abortion recovery services for anyone struggling after an abortion.
